What is home? A place where you feel safe, a place you care for because its yours, a place you protect. For us, it's a small enclosed territory: a room, an apartment or a house, sometimes with a little garden. For these people, home is the whole archipelago. Also, their life is well-organized and they don't have to work non-stop just to survive, so no wonder they have lots of free time and many freedoms we can barely imagine. They can roam the archipelago on their own or with friends and always have places to stop for a night and food to eat. All cableway stations work as free bedrooms and are equipped with necessities that people repair and refill when needed. The basic rule is: you broke it - you fix it, you dirtied it - you clean it, you ate it - you refill the storage (and why not when it's a part of YOUR home?). Actually, roaming the archipelato is what kids older than 12 do for most of their free time, so Nikt isn't special here, his only difference is that he's always alone, no friends, no company. He's the right age to start thinking of settling down, though. Remember Tim at the same age (19)? He was already a father and had a profession.

+ I have a new Bookstore that accepts Paypal! Take a look :) All my comics (including GWI - Book 3) and novels (including "Smoky Obsidian") are there. All comics cost $2. All novels cost $1.

More to read

I have other books for you besides GWI. Take a look at them while waiting for a new page :)
I have:
- Tales from the Afterworld, a collection of short stories in different genres (sci-fi, fantasy, magical realism, space opera, fairytale)
- Obsidian Triad, an illustrated fantasy novel about a world created by dreamers. It begins with a young mortal's becoming an apprentice of the creators of his world and tells a long story (the size of LOTR) with a huge cast of different characters. My biggest and my favourite work so far.
- I also have some of my stories translated into Esperanto (an awesome artificial language you can learn in just 10 hours, possibly the official language of BRICS in the future): Donacoj de glacimontoj (Esperanto version of GWI with Russian and English translations under every page so that people can use the comic to easily learn Esperanto) and Glacidonaco (Esperanto version of Ice Gift, the short story that inspired GWI).

My main site is Mildegard.ru, so you can just bookmark it and use it to reach everything I have published so far.
